Your ENERGY AND NATURAL RESOURCES COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred
HOUSE BILL 522
has had it under consideration and reports same WITHOUT RECOMMENDATION, amended as follows:
1. On page 2, lines 9 through 16, strike Subsection B in its entirety and insert in lieu thereof the following new Subsection B:
"B. The governor shall appoint three alternate members of similar proportion to the political appointees for a term of five years, with the advice and consent of the senate. If the board does not have a quorum, the governor, upon the request of the remaining board members, shall assign one or both of the alternates as necessary to constitute a quorum to hear or decide the matter before the board. Alternate members serve at the pleasure of the governor.",
and thence referred to the GOVERNMENT AND URBAN AFFAIRS COMMITTEE.
