Mr. President:

Your FINANCE COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

1. On page 1, lines 12 and 13, strike "THE PUEBLOS OF ISLETA AND SANDIA" and insert in lieu thereof "CERTAIN INDIAN TRIBES AND PUEBLOS".

2. On page 1, line 22, before "PUEBLOS" insert "INDIAN TRIBES AND".

3. On page 1, line 25, strike "pueblo land" and insert in lieu thereof "Mescalero Apache tribal land, Jicarilla Apache tribal land or pueblo land".

4. On page 3, line 18, strike the comma and insert in lieu thereof a colon.

5. On page 4, strike lines 2 through 10 and insert in lieu thereof:

"(1) "Jicarilla Apache tribal land" means all land located within the exterior boundaries of the Jicarilla Apache reservation and all land held by the United States in trust

for the Jicarilla Apache Tribe;

(2) "Mescalero Apache tribal land" means all land located within the exterior boundaries of the Mescalero Apache reservation and all land held by the United States in trust for the Mescalero Apache Tribe; and

(3) "pueblo land" means land located within the exterior boundaries of a pueblo reservation or grant and all land held by the United States in trust for a pueblo."".

6. On page 4, strike line 13 after "WITH", strike line 14 and insert in lieu thereof "CERTAIN INDIAN TRIBES AND PUEBLOS".

7. On page 4, strike line 17 after "with", strike line 18 and insert in lieu thereof "a pueblo, the Mescalero Apache Tribe or the Jicarilla Apache Tribe".
