MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR RAPE CRISIS SERVICES IN NORTHERN NEW MEXICO.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Three hundred thousand dollars ($300,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the children, youth and families department for expenditure in fiscal year 2002 to provide rape crisis services in northern New Mexico, including child sexual abuse education, speakers for school programs, programs to eradicate sexual prejudice, aid for sexual crime survivors, court monitoring and a twenty-four-hour crisis intervention hotline. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2002 shall revert to the general fund.
