Your GOVERNMENT AND URBAN AFFAIRS COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

HOUSE BILL 356

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

1. On page 4, line 13, after "members" insert ", other than the chief information officer or staff from the office of the chief information officer,".

2. On page 5, line 12, after the closing bracket strike the remainder of the line, strike lines 13 through 15 and insert in lieu thereof "one staff member from the legislative council service and one staff member from the legislative finance committee, appointed by their respective directors; and".

3. On page 6, line 1, after the subsection designation "E." strike the remainder of the line, strike lines 2 through 4 and insert in lieu thereof "The commission shall elect a chairman and vice chairman from the active membership of the commission for two-year terms.".

4. On page 7, line 3, after the semicolon strike "and".

5. On page 7, line 6, after "adoption" strike the period and closing quotation mark and insert in lieu thereof a semicolon.

6. On page 7, between lines 6 and 7, insert the following subsections:

"G. review and approve information technology appropriation requests and report to the legislative finance committee and the information technology oversight committee regarding those requests; and

H. establish a schedule to receive reports from agencies and the chief information officer regarding the status of information technology projects."".

7. On page 8, line 12, after "perform" insert "audits or".

8. On page 9, line 22, after "and" insert ", subject to approval by the information technology commission,".,

and thence referred to the APPROPRIATIONS AND FINANCE COMMITTEE.
