MAKING AN APPROPRIATI0N TO THE BOARD OF REGENTS OF NEW MEXICO STATE UNIVERSITY TO PROVIDE A PILOT CHILD-CARE CENTER FOR CHILDREN OF STUDENTS ATTENDING THE UNIVERSITY DURING NONTRADITIONAL HOURS.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of New Mexico state university for expenditure in fiscal year 2002 to provide a child-care center in the department of education for children of students who attend the university during nontraditional hours. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2002 shall revert to the general fund.
