AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE BOARD OF REGENTS OF NEW MEXICO HIGHLANDS UNIVERSITY TO CONTINUE AND EXPAND STUDENT AND TEACHER PARTICIPATION IN THE NEW MEXICO ADVANCED PLACEMENT PROGRAM.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Four hundred thousand dollars ($400,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of New Mexico highlands university for expenditure in fiscal year 2002 to continue and expand public high school student and teacher participation in the New Mexico advanced placement program. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2002 shall revert to the general fund.
