I have this day VETOED and am returning HOUSE BILL
349, enacted by the Forty-Fifth Legislature, First Session, 2001.
This bill provides that in-person absentee voting
may be conducted until 5:00 p.m. on the Saturday immediately prior to the
election. I have signed into law House
Bill 484, which duplicates this provision and is in direct conflict with the
bill I have signed.
