AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO CONDUCT A HYDROLOGICAL ASSESSMENT OF GROUND WATER IN SAN MIGUEL COUNTY.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred fifty thousand dollars ($150,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of New Mexico state university for the Tierra y Montes soil and water conservation district for expenditure in fiscal year 2001 to conduct a hydrological assessment of the ground water in San Miguel county. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2001 shall revert to the general fund.
