The bill proclaims month of April as Hispanic New Mexico History Month.
Significant Issues
The bill proclaims an Hispanic New Mexico History Month to in all New Mexicans knowledge of and pride in the contributions of Hispanics to the settlement and development of the state. Knowledge of Hispanic contributions to New Mexico is intended to develop pride and enhanced self-esteem in Hispanic students "thereby enabling them to take ownership and pride in the four hundred year development of their country, the United States of America."
