Synopsis of Bill



Senate Bill 269 appropriates $75.0 in recurring general fund for FY2001 to the Environment Department to contract for services with a nonprofit organization to support a Taos County safe water assistance program for indigent and low-income persons. The bill would allow Taos County to arrange for the installation of water service lines and meters for indigent and low-income persons to connect to a safe and reliable source of potable water.
