Synopsis of Bill



This bill amends the lottery tuition scholarship program to limit the tuition increases imposed by each institution on each student attending that institution.



Significant Issues



According to the CHE, governing boards of each institution have the constitutional basis from which to set annual tuition rates.



FISCAL IMPLICATIONS



According to the CHE, this bill would achieve the long term objective of attempting to curtail the costs of lottery scholarships.
