SUMMARY
Synopsis of Bill
Senate Bill 168 requires the Youth Conservation Corps (YCC) Commission of EMNRD to review and approve vocational programs that are part of the juvenile construction industries initiative for juveniles committed to the custody of the Children, Youth and Families Department (CYFD).
Significant Issues
The bill simply requests the YCC develop a process for considering vocational programs from the juvenile construction industries initiative. The CYFD already participates in the YCC program, and has received funding in the last fiscal year, according to the EMNRD.
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS
The bill does not contain an appropriation and would not have an administrative or fiscal impact on the agency.
