SUMMARY
Synopsis of Bill
Senate Bill 60 appropriates $60.0 to provide or contract for a pilot project after-school learning program for at-risk youth in the Clovis public school district.
Significant Issues
The pilot program is to be offered to students in the Clovis schools. After-school activities include academic tutoring, computer training and learning development for youth of single parents. The program is to be offered on a twelve month basis during FY2001.
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS
The general fund is reduced by $60.0. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance at the end of FY 2001shall revert to the general fund.
ADMINISTRATIVE IMPLICATIONS
None. The program is to be administered by the school district.
