Synopsis of Bill
The bill appropriates $65.0 to the Department of Health's (DOH) border health office to develop a farm worker outreach resource center to provide referral, education and counseling services.
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS
The bill appropriates $65.0 in general fund in FY01 to DOH.
OTHER SUBSTANTIVE ISSUES
DOH indicates other public and private funds could be sought for support and expansion of the resource centers and to replicate these services in other counties (especially Sierra county).
