House Memorial 12 requests the labor department name the Las Vegas labor department building in honor Eloy Ludi in recognition of his many years of dedicated, faithful and devoted service to the labor department, the people of Las Vegas and New Mexico, the building to be known as the Eloy Ludi Labor Department Building.
Significant Issues
The labor department's bill analysis enthusiastically supports the spirit of the memorial, but suggesting naming the building the "Eloy Ludi Workforce Development Center" because labor department buildings are now titled "workforce development centers by agency regulations.
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS
The labor department reports that the cost of the change is minimal and can be absorbed from existing federal funds.
