Synopsis of Bill



House Bill 411 appropriates $75.0 from the general fund to CYFD to provide cultural sensitivity training for department personnel.



Significant Issues



The intent of the bill is to train department staff who work with Native American children to provide culturally competent services. These would include, Juvenile Justice, Protective Services and Prevention and Intervention services.



FISCAL IMPLICATIONS



House bill 411 appropriates $75.0 from the general fund and is recurring.



ADMINISTRATIVE IMPLICATIONS



CYFD provides staff training through their Employee Support Division, and this would be added to their training component.
