SUMMARY
Synopsis of Bill
House Bill 387 appropriates $50.0 from the general fund to the Children, Youth and Families Department for a performing and visual arts anti-violence pilot program.
Significant Issues
The appropriation will be used to contract with student actors and technicians to present productions which educate youth and community groups about violence prevention in northern New Mexico.
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS
House Bill appropriates $50.0 from the general fund and is recurring.
ADMINISTRATIVE IMPLICATIONS
CYFD currently administers a contract process for community-based services and passage of this legislation would have minimal impact to the department.
