SUMMARY
Synopsis of Bill
The bill appropriates $200.0 to implement strategies from the Department of Health's (DOH) Youth Suicide Prevention Plan in the state's public schools, juvenile detention facilities, postsecondary educational institutions and community agencies. Implementation would include enhancement of 24 hour toll-free crisis intervention hotlines, depression screening tools, and suicide prevention education and referral training.
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS
The bill appropriates $200.0 in general fund in FY01 and FY02 to the DOH.
