SUMMARY
Synopsis of Bill
The bill amends the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Fund Act to allow for the accumulation of fund allocations by a municipality or county for no more than three years in order to purchase vehicles or equipment if an accumulation and purchase plan have been approved by the Injury Prevention and EMS bureau.
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS
The Department of Health indicates the EMS Funding Act does not allow for the accumulation of EMS funds by local entities. The accumulated funds revert back to the EMS fund for redistribution in the next fiscal year.
