STATE OF NEW MEXICO

44TH LEGISLATURE - SECOND SESSION - 2000

REQUESTED BY

FOR CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS FOR THE CITY OF ARTESIA IN EDDY COUNTY.

I request that the following capital outlay projects be funded:

to the state agency on aging

nine hundred thousand dollars ($900,000) to plan, design, construct and equip a senior center in Artesia in Eddy county;

to the state highway and transportation department

three hundred fifty thousand dollars ($350,000) for drainage improvements on Gilchrist road in Artesia in Eddy county; and

to the local government division of the department of finance and administration

twenty thousand dollars ($20,000) to purchase and install a computer and related wiring at the Artesia center in Eddy county;

three hundred thousand dollars ($300,000) for sidewalk improvements in Artesia in Eddy county; and

five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000) for a regional dental clinic in Artesia in Eddy county.
