44TH LEGISLATURE - SECOND SESSION - 2000

REQUESTED BY

FOR CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS FOR THE MESCALERO APACHE TRIBE IN OTERO COUNTY.

I request that the following capital outlay projects be funded:

to the state agency on aging

fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) for planning and designing a facility for the elderly of the Mescalero Apache tribe in Mescalero in Otero county; and

to the New Mexico office of Indian affairs

seven hundred thousand dollars ($700,000) for planning and designing a new detention center for the Mescalero Apache tribe in Mescalero in Otero county; and

six hundred thousand dollars ($600,000) for planning and designing phase 1 of a new school building for the Mescalero Apache schools in Mescalero in Otero county.
