REQUESTED BY

FOR REAUTHORIZING SEVERANCE TAX BOND APPROPRIATIONS AND A GENERAL FUND

APPROPRIATION TO EXTEND THE EXPENDITURE PERIOD FOR SOLID WASTE

MANAGEMENT AND DISPOSAL IN SOCORRO COUNTY.

The period of time for expenditure of the balance of the proceeds from the sale of severance tax bonds appropriated to the department of environment pursuant to Subsections C and II of Section 10 of Chapter 148 of Laws 1994 and reauthorized pursuant to Laws 1995, Chapter 218, Section 16 to improve solid waste management and disposal in Socorro county shall be extended through fiscal year 2002. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2002 shall revert to the severance tax bonding fund.

The period of time for expenditure of the general fund appropriation to the local government division of the department of finance and administration pursuant to Subsection AA of Section 6 of Chapter 147 of Laws 1994 and reauthorized in Laws 1995, Chapter 52, Section 1 and extended in Laws 1996, Chapter 14, Section 25, to improve solid waste management and disposal in Socorro county shall be extended through fiscal year 2002. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2002 shall revert to the general fund.
