SENATE FLOOR AMENDMENT number _______ to SENATE BILL 227

Amendment sponsored by Senator Ben D. Altamirano

1. On page 1, line 11, after the semicolon strike the remainder of the line and strike lines 12 and 13 and insert in lieu thereof "MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE AIR SERVICE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM.".

2. On page 1, line 16 through page 3, line 4, strike Sections 1 and 2 and insert in lieu thereof the following section:

"Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000) is appropriated from the state road fund to the state highway and transportation department for expenditure in fiscal year 2001 by the aviation division to carry out the air service assistance program. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2001 shall revert to the general fund.".

3. Renumber the succeeding section accordingly.
