MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE UNIVERSITY OF NEW MEXICO TO SUPPORT THE OFFICE OF INTERNATIONAL TECHNICAL COOPERATION, WHICH FACILITATES THE PLANNING AND IMPLEMENTATION OF TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAMS IN LATIN AMERICA AND OTHER REGIONS OF THE WORLD.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of the university of New Mexico for expenditure in fiscal year 2001 to support the office of international technical cooperation, which fosters and facilitates the efforts of the various colleges and professional schools in the planning and implementation of technical assistance programs in Latin America and other regions of the world. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2001 shall revert to the general fund.
