SENATE FLOOR AMENDMENT number _______ to SENATE JUDICIARY COMMITTEE SUBSTITUTE FOR SENATE BILLS 437 & 438

1. On page 1, lines 15 and 16, strike "PROVIDING FUNDS FOR THE RENOVATION OF THE PENITENTIARY OF NEW MEXICO SOUTH AS A CLOSE-CUSTODY FACILITY;".

2. On page 3, lines 17 through 19, strike "two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000) to provide salaries and benefits and pay travel expenses for three" and insert in lieu thereof "ninety thousand seven hundred dollars ($90,700) to provide salaries and benefits for two".

3. On page 3, lines 22 and 23, strike "one hundred seventy thousand dollars ($170,000)" and insert in lieu thereof "one hundred seventy thousand three hundred dollars ($170,300)".

4. On page 3, line 25, after the semicolon insert "and".

5. On page 4, strike lines 1 through 15 and insert in lieu

thereof the following new paragraph:

"(6) six hundred fifty-four thousand seven hundred dollars ($654,700) to provide a salary upgrade for correctional officers.".

6. On page 5, line 2, strike "six" and insert in lieu thereof "eight".

7. On page 5, line 2, strike "Three" and insert in lieu thereof "Four".

8. On page 5, line 4, strike "Three" and insert in lieu thereof "Four".

9. On page 5, lines 11 and 12, strike "the same proportional" and insert in lieu thereof "equal".

10. On page 6, lines 23 and 24, strike "super-majority" and insert in lieu thereof "majority".

11. On page 8, line 15, strike "general fund" and insert in lieu thereof "cash balances of the legislative council service".

12. On page 8, line 20, strike "general fund" and insert in lieu thereof "cash balances of the legislative council service".
