AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO CONTRACT FOR PROVISION OF SCHOOL BUS MAINTENANCE FOR NAVAJO HEAD START PROGRAMS.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred thirty-five thousand dollars ($135,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the New Mexico office of Indian affairs for expenditure in fiscal year 2001 to contract for maintenance of head start program buses for Navajo nation head start programs in New Mexico. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2001 shall revert to the general fund.
