AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR SUPPORT OF MORA COUNTY GOVERNMENT AND CERTAIN STATE SERVICES; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred forty thousand dollars ($240,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the local government division of the department of finance and administration for expenditure in fiscal years 2000 and 2001 to assist the county government of Mora county to meet its administrative responsibilities, including expenditure of forty thousand dollars ($40,000) to the office of the county clerk for the purpose of providing motor vehicle division services to county residents. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2001 shall revert to the general fund.

Section 2. EMERGENCY.--It is necessary for the public peace, health and safety that this act take effect immediately.
