Mr. President:

Your PUBLIC AFFAIRS COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

1. On page 1, lines 24 and 25, strike "make recommendations of such review available to the legislature" and insert in lieu thereof "prepare a written report for review by the legislature setting forth the advantages and disadvantages of proposed changes in the scope of practice of health professionals".

2. On page 3, line 6, after "requested" insert "within the scope of applicable laws and rules promulgated by the department".

3. On page 4, lines 3 and 4, strike "make recommendations on the proposed change" and insert in lieu thereof "provide a written report setting forth the advantages and disadvantages of proposed changes in the scope of practice of health professionals".

4. On page 6, line 2, strike "legislative recommendations, on" and insert in lieu thereof "a presentation of the written report setting forth the advantages and disadvantages of".,

and thence referred to the FINANCE COMMITTEE.
