AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO PROVIDE MATCHING FUNDS FOR A VETERANS' TRUST FUND TO PROVIDE SERVICES TO NAVAJO NATION VETERANS AND THEIR FAMILIES.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Three million dollars ($3,000,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the New Mexico office of Indian affairs for expenditure in fiscal year 2001 to provide matching funds for the Navajo Nation veterans' trust fund to provide services for Navajo Nation veterans and their families. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2001 shall revert to the general fund.
