AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE CHAVES COUNTY UNITY CENTER TO PROVIDE CONSTRUCTIVE ALTERNATIVES FOR YOUTH.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred ninety thousand dollars ($190,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the local government division of the department of finance and administration for expenditure in fiscal year 2001 to pay for operational expenses for the Chaves county unity center, a youth development program to provide constructive alternatives for youth. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2001 shall revert to the general fund.
