AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO PROVIDE SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY INFORMATION RESOURCES TO SUPPORT RESEARCH AND EDUCATION AT TWO-YEAR AND FOUR-YEAR POST-SECONDARY EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS STATEWIDE.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two million five hundred thousand dollars ($2,500,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the commission on higher education for expenditure in fiscal year 2001 to purchase science and technology resources, including books, databases and periodicals for two-year and four-year New Mexico post-secondary educational institutions. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2001 shall revert to the general fund.
