MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR DEVELOPMENT OF A STATEWIDE INSTITUTE FOR HUMAN RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT AT THE UNIVERSITY OF NEW MEXICO CONTINUING EDUCATION CENTER.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of the university of New Mexico for expenditure in fiscal year 2001 for the purpose of developing and operating a statewide diversity leadership institute for human resource development at the university of New Mexico continuing education center. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2001 shall revert to the general fund.

Section 2. EFFECTIVE DATE.--The effective date of the provisions of this act is July 1, 2000.
