AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO EXPAND THE WOMEN, INFANTS AND CHILDREN FARMERS' MARKET NUTRITION PROGRAM.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Fifty-six thousand six hundred fifteen dollars ($56,615) is appropriated from the general fund to the department of health for expenditure in fiscal year 2001 for the purpose of conducting a pilot project in the Albuquerque area expanding the women, infants and children farmers' market nutrition program pursuant to the federal WIC Farmers' Market Nutrition Act of 1992. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2001 shall revert to the general fund.
