AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR EXPANDED CHILD AND ADOLESCENT MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES STATEWIDE.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two million dollars ($2,000,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the department of health in fiscal year 2001 for expenditure by the office of school health for the purpose of providing expanded prevention and intervention mental health services statewide for children and adolescents. The services shall include early identification, evaluation, assessment, treatment, family involvement, case management and follow-up. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2001 shall revert to the general fund.
