AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO PROVIDE FUNDS FOR HOUSING REHABILITATION FOR HOMES OF INDIGENT PEOPLE IN BERNALILLO COUNTY; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One million dollars ($1,000,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the local government division of the department of finance and administration for expenditure in fiscal years 2000 and 2001 to rehabilitate homes for indigent people in the unincorporated areas of Bernalillo county. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2001 shall revert to the general fund.

Section 2. EMERGENCY.--It is necessary for the public peace, health and safety that this act take effect immediately.
