MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO MAKE REPAIRS AND IMPROVEMENTS TO THE VERMEJO CONSERVANCY DISTRICT AND THE ANTELOPE VALLEY IRRIGATION DISTRICT IN COLFAX COUNTY.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--

A. The following amounts are appropriated from the New Mexico irrigation works construction fund to the interstate stream commission in fiscal year 2001 for the following purposes:

(1) two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($250,000) to make repairs and improvements to lakes 12 and 14 in the Vermejo conservancy district; and

(2) two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($250,000) to make pipeline improvements in the Antelope Valley irrigation district.

B. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2001 shall revert to the New Mexico irrigation works construction fund.
