AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE EXPANSION OF THE NEW MEXICO RESOURCE GEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION SYSTEM PROGRAM AT THE UNIVERSITY OF NEW MEXICO.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of the university of New Mexico for expenditure in fiscal year 2001 to expand the base of funding of the existing New Mexico resource geographic information system program at the university of New Mexico. Additional resource geographic information system responsibilities will include staff to support the geographic information system advisory committee and related geographic information system activities, advancing the goals of the information technology commission. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2001 shall revert to the general fund.
