MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO ASSIST FARM WORKERS TO OBTAIN APPROPRIATE HEALTH CARE AND HUMAN SERVICES ASSISTANCE.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred fifty thousand dollars ($150,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the department of health for expenditure by the border health office in fiscal year 2001 for the purpose of providing or contracting for outreach resource services to assist farm workers to obtain appropriate health care and human services assistance. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2001 shall revert to the general fund.
