MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE BOARD OF REGENTS OF NEW MEXICO STATE UNIVERSITY TO PARTICIPATE IN THE SLOAN DIGITAL SKY SURVEY.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One million two hundred thousand dollars ($1,200,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of New Mexico state university for expenditure in fiscal year 2001 to participate in the Sloan digital sky survey at New Mexico state university. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2001 shall revert to the general fund.
