AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE OFFICE OF THE STATE ENGINEER TO SUPPORT AND CONTINUE "WATERS" DATABASE WORK TO CONVERT WATER RIGHTS RECORDS FOR THE PECOS RIVER TO AUTOMATED FORM.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One million one hundred thousand dollars ($1,100,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the office of the state engineer for expenditure in fiscal year 2001 to support and continue the "WATERS" database work to convert water rights records for the Pecos river to automated form. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2001 shall revert to the general fund.
