AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR A VIOLENCE PREVENTION PERFORMING AND VISUAL ARTS PROGRAM FOR STUDENT AND COMMUNITY PRESENTATIONS.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the children, youth and families department for expenditure in fiscal year 2001 for the purpose of contracting for a performing and visual arts anti-violence pilot program with student actors and technicians presenting productions to educate youth and community groups about violence prevention in northern New Mexico. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2001 shall revert to the general fund.
