AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO CONDUCT A COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF HOURLY WAGES AND TRANSPORTATION COSTS FOR NEW MEXICO WORKS ACT PROGRAM PARTICIPANTS.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred twenty-five thousand dollars ($125,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the state highway and transportation department for expenditure in fiscal year 2001 to contract to conduct a comparative analysis of hourly wages and transportation costs of New Mexico Works Act program participants placed in entry level jobs for the purpose of setting transportation subsidies. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2001 shall revert to the general fund.
