Your APPROPRIATIONS AND FINANCE COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

HOUSE BILL 253

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

1. On page 1, lines 15 and 16, strike "Two million three

hundred fifty-five thousand dollars ($2,355,000)" and insert in lieu thereof "One million dollars ($1,000,000)".

2. On page 1, line 17, after "fund" insert "operating

reserve".

3. On page 1, line 21, strike "Any".

4. On page 1, strike lines 21 and 22 and insert in lieu

thereof "The appropriation is contingent upon the services department receiving a waiver from the United States Health Care Financing Administration to add the prescription drug benefit for persons sixty-five and older to the state medicaid plan.".
