MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO PROVIDE HEALTH CARE SERVICES FOR CERTAIN SENIOR CITIZENS.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two million three hundred fifty-five thousand dollars ($2,355,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the human services department for expenditure in fiscal year 2001 to provide medicaid coverage for persons sixty-five years and older whose incomes are less than one hundred percent of the federal poverty level. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2001 shall revert to the general fund.
