MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO PROVIDE TREATMENT PROGRAMS AND OTHER SERVICES FOR SEXUALLY AGGRESSIVE YOUTH.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the department of health for expenditure in fiscal year 2001 to provide intensive therapeutic treatment for sexually aggressive youth referred by legal services, law enforcement and social service agencies and to provide training, technical assistance and data collection at rape crisis centers in Taos, Farmington, Las Cruces, Albuquerque and Santa Fe. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2001 shall revert to the general fund.
