Your TRANSPORTATION COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred



HOUSE BILL 203



has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:



"1. On page 1, line 11, strike "AN APPROPRIATION" and insert in lieu thereof "APPROPRIATIONS".



2. On page 1, line 12, after "RAILROAD" insert "AND RELATED LITIGATION COSTS".



3. On page 1, between lines 23 and 24, insert the following new section:



"Section 2. APPROPRIATION.--Twenty-six thousand nine hundred dollars ($26,900) is appropriated from the general fund to the office of the attorney general for expenditure in fiscal years 2000 and 2001 to cover New Mexico's share of litigation costs related to defense of the Cumbres and Toltec scenic railroad commission. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2001 shall revert to the general fund.".



4. Renumber the remaining section accordingly.,



and thence referred to the APPROPRIATIONS AND FINANCE COMMITTEE.
