Your JUDICIARY COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

HOUSE BILL 178

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

1. On page 1, line 21, after "the", strike the remainder of the line, on line 22, strike "information" and insert in lieu thereof "malicious intent to injure or the intent to defraud that person or another and using the information obtained".

2. On page 1, line 25, strike "means" and insert in lieu thereof "includes".

3. On page 2, line 6, after "Whoever" strike the remainder of the line, strike line 7 in its entirety, strike line 8 through "information" and insert in lieu thereof "willfully obtains personal identifying information of another person without the authorization or consent of that person with the malicious intent to injure or the intent to defraud that person or another and using the information obtained".

4. On page 2, lines 13 and 14, strike "one thousand dollars ($1,000)" and insert in lieu thereof "two hundred fifty dollars ($250)".

5. On page 2, line 19, strike "one thousand dollars ($1,000)" and insert in lieu thereof "two hundred fifty dollars ($250)".,

and thence referred to the APPROPRIATIONS AND FINANCE COMMITTEE.
