AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO PAY DETENTION COSTS OF A LOCAL GOVERNMENT.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the local government division of the department of finance and administration for expenditure in fiscal year 2001 to pay the detention costs owed by Mora county to San Miguel county. The division shall make payment directly to San Miguel county. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2001 shall revert to the general fund.
