MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE STATE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC EDUCATION TO EXPAND SAFE SCHOOL PROGRAMS IN THE SANTA FE SCHOOL DISTRICT.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the state department of public education for expenditure in fiscal year 2001 to expand safe school programs in the Santa Fe school district. The safe school programs include anger management programs, mediation programs, conflict resolution programs and in-school suspension programs. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2001 shall revert to the general fund.
