House Bill 30 appropriates $833.2 in recurring general fund to create three new judgeships: one at the Bernalillo County Metropolitan Court, one for the Dona Ana magistrate court, and one for the San Juan magistrate court.

Significant Issues

House Bill 30 appropriates funding for the judgeships to the Bernalillo County Metropolitan Court and to the Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC) for the magistrates. The bill also funds costs related to the new judgeships that will be incurred by the District Attorneys and Public Defender Department.
